"The best way to execute French cooking is to get good and loaded and whack the hell out of a chicken. Bon appétit. " — Julia Child

It's been a while since I last posted, just over 2 months in fact. However, life had jumped in the middle of my keyboard and took over for a little while LOL.

I suppose there will be some question about what in the world is going on with the title of this post. Well, I'm watching Julie & Julia and thinking I am more of a fan of Julia Child than I ever knew. She wasn't the prim and proper woman I had first thought her to be, but more of a brazen and wild women. She wasn't afraid to step into places and roles that women didn't normally fall into, such as attending and graduating from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Paris in a class of only men. She also published a book called Mastering the Art of French Cooking which she helped to create in order to teach American women how to cook French food.

This movie is really wonderful and I think I am finally inspired to get back into cooking like I used to be a couple years ago. So here's to reopening a past chapter of my life and discovering new recipes & flavors!
